PACKING LIST FOR Vancouver
CARRY-ON BAG
o Identification, OHIP card
o Spending money (consider around $100)
o Survival Card – will be given to you
o Journal from Project Serve Canada
o Snack food (no liquids)
o Water bottle, travel mug
o Change of clothes in case something happens to your checked bag)
o School stuff: textbooks, homework
o Something to read, eg. Magazines, books
o Mp3 player, if you want (earphones if you want to watch TV)
o Prescriptions (clearly labeled)
o Feminine hygiene products (as necessary)
o Camera
SUITCASE/LUGGAGE/BACKPACK – Remember we walk .5 km with our bag to the hostel
o Reusable lunch container, set of utensils (lets reduce waste!)
o Toiletries, eg.shampoo/conditioner, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste
o Bathing towel
o Bathing towel
o Eyeglasses and contact lenses
o Socks
o Underwear
o Sleep wear
o Warm sweater, sweatshirt or fleece – think layering
o Jeans
o T-shirts (short and long-sleeved)
o Nice pants and shirts for volunteering at school (think conservative and no controversial logos or quotes on tshirts)
o One nice outfit for any special occasions
o Rain gear, eg. Raincoat, Umbrella – It rains a lot in Vancouver!
o Comfortable walking shoes
o Boots
o Slippers
o Sunglasses
Shower shoes might be a good idea too!
